Events: Srinivasan Memorial Workshop by IIT Kanpur, 2021

Mahadeva Srinivasan was a physicist at India’s Bhabba Atomic Research Center when cold fusion was announced in 1989. He developed a strong interest in the phenomenon and became one of the foremost researchers in the field. Dr. Srinivasan conducted many experiments, published the results in many papers, and worked collaboratively with other investigators, particularly in India. He was the chairman of the 16th International Conference on Cold Fusion (ICFF-16) in 2011 at Chennai, India.

After Dr. Srinivasan’s death in 2020, three of his cold fusion colleagues at the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) held an online memorial event on January 22-24, 2021. The Low Energy Nuclear Reactions Workshop in Memory of Dr. M. Srinivasan was conducted by K.P. Rajeev, Pankaj Jain and Raj Ganesh S. Pala. The event was recorded in two parts – 11 presentations and four online Zoom discussions. They are presented in the table below.

Dr. Srinivasan defined six phases of his research career, all but the first in cold fusion. The phases were described in a presentation during the workshop by Tom Grimshaw (ID 415 above). They are from a previous project by Dr. Grimshaw with Dr. Srinivasan to document his LENR research career. The presentation was subsequently drafted into a paper in the Journal of Condensed Matter Nuclear Science (click here).
